What We Do

Our Aims and activities are focused on Seven main concerns:

  1. Leadership Development:
    • The Rabbani Foundation works with existing centers, and organizations to identify, enable, empower, educate, and encourage leadership on social issues. Women’s leadership in Pakistan and women’s leadership regionally and globally are of a particular focus for the foundation.
  2. Pakistan Development:
    • Pakistan is one of the foundations key areas for developmental work.
      The Rabbani Foundation encourages and supports organizations, studies, and academic centers focusing on empowering Pakistani women, people with disabilities, alleviating poverty, upgrading services provided to the population, and other social infrastructure issues that face the country. The foundation is directly involved in major projects that provide direct aid to the citizens of Pakistan ranging from medical aid, housing, micro financing and entrepreneurship.
  3. Poverty Alleviation:
    • The Rabbani Foundation works and sponsors the development of charities, funds and organizations that seek to eradicate poverty and its consequences from all over the world—but most especially in the Middle East, and other third world countries in Asia. The Foundation is one of the region’s leaders in sponsoring innovative and progressive ideas and technology to find more effective, long term solutions to poverty and its devastating consequences in the world.
  4. SAARC Dialogue:
    • The Rabbani Foundation helps to promote dialogue, programs, forums, and educational centers around the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) in order to promote a greater understanding between SAARC and the world.
  5. Natural Disaster Relief:
    • The Rabbani Foundation works with international, regional, and local credible partners in providing financial resources & manpower to secure effective rapid aid, critical goods, and emergency services to poor countries affected by natural disasters.
  6. Interfaith Dialogue:
    • The Rabbani Foundation helps reframe perceptions of Islam and the West through dialogue, programs, forums, and educational centers around the world in order to promote a greater understanding between the different faiths and world views.
  7. Environment Protection Programme:
    • The Rabbani Foundation has long engaged relevant stakeholders in discussions on Climate Change in the areas of Adaptation, Mitigation, Technology and Finance. It has actively participated with United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) towards a sound action plan for a greener Society by pledging to continue making a positive contribution to the environment.
